What is a 'Limited Edition' print?
Limited edition (LE) fine art prints are fixed number of prints of that image regardless of demand. We have chosen the magical number of 88 as our standard for our LE prints. Subject to a minimum size requirement of 3’ X4’, we will only print 88 copies of our LE fine art giclees.

We currently have only one image in our 'Limited Edition' line, the magnificent 'Koki Beach' as seen in this lovely Wailea home.

What makes Window to Paradise so special?
‘Window to Paradise’ is a dream of the creators, Mark and Shayla Middleton. We strive to create a ‘window’ that draws your attention away from the ‘everyday’ and into a 'magical world'… a slice of ‘Paradise’.

All images are personally and meticulously handled from start to finish by us, the artists. We print them ‘in-house’ on our huge specialized fine art printer, we spray each image with three coats of a special eco-friendly UV coating with an amazing archival rating of over 100 years, and finally, we will personally gallery wrap frame your image using specialized archival stretcher bars- also rated for over 100 year lifespan. 

Ready to hang, these gallery wrapped images are fabulous.  They also look great in frames and don't need any glass due to the special environmentally friendly coatings we use.

What is an 'Artist’s Print'?
Artist’s print (AP) are the first run print of a new LE print. The first large printing of an image may have certain unique manifestations not seen in smaller test prints. All first prints done at Window to Paradise will be AP prints and labeled ‘1/1’ meaning ‘one of one’. These AP prints are considered the property of the artist, however, may be sold as special editions upon special request.

What is a 'Gallery Edition' print?
Our 'Gallery Edition' is a collection of our images that are displayed in Galleries on Maui.These are some of our most popular images and thus sought after by local galleries. 

What is a "Gallery Wrap"?
Gallery wrap is a unique framing technique that stretches or ‘wraps’ the canvas around the sides of a wooden frame. Due to the extension of the image around the edges, it creates a wonderful 3 dimensional feel. This ‘clean look’ makes them ideal to hang without any further framing that can distract from the image itself.

What is "Gicle'e"?
Gicle'e is a fine art reproduction on canvas. Created on a specialized ultra high resolution fine art printer, incredible quality results worthy of the name ‘fine art’.   Archival inks, archival papers, UV coated prints, gesso coated stretcher bars, and stainless steel make a museum quality finished piece that is acid-free and fully sealed.  We work with the finest materials for top quality museum quality results. 

Do you sell unframed art?
Yes, all prints are available as 'Canvas Only'. We use archival inks and coat each canvas with our eco-friendly 100+ year archival protection. All images can be purchased as a 'canvas only', 'gallery wrap' stretch framed, and/or delivered and installed.

Why would we want you to handle delivery and installation?
Our huge fine art prints are gorgeous on your wall; however, negotiating such an enormous piece of art has its challenges! We have a specially constructed enclosed trailer to ensure your huge giclee framed print arrives safely. We have experience handling and mounting these incredible pieces of art, and would be happy to schedule an install for any Maui location.

How do we order?
Prints can be ordered by contacting us via phone or email. Prints are usually made to order, therefore, estimated time of completion will be given at time of order. Since all processes are done ‘in-house’, you can be assured of the finest quality. Delivery dates for personal install can be arranged.

How much does shipping cost?
Free!  Okay, okay - only for 'Canvas Only' to the US or Canada... but that we do! We mail canvases for free to make it easy for our clients to take their favorite image home. Once at home our clients find a local framer who knows what a 'Gallery Wrap' is and has done several of them.  We maintain a list of framers that our customers have used and recommend.  Let us know your city and we'll see if we can recommend someone, if you have a great 'stretcher'/'framer' in your area please let us know and we'll add them to our list to help future clients. 

What does 'Canvas Only' mean?
Save on shipping by having us send an unstretched canvas to you in a shipping tube. You then find yourself a local framer competent in 'Gallery Wrap' stretching and have your piece stretched near you. 'Canvas Only' orders are shipped for FREE :)  

Why does my 'Canvas Only' piece have a mirrored/reflection border?
We print with a mirrored wrap of 3 inches on all sides so our clients can choose to mount them 'Gallery Wrap' style with the edges showing, so that there will be an image on the sides of the finished stretcher bar frame. We allow up to 1.5" stretcher bars to be used by printing a 3 inch reflection border on every canvas we ship (unless specified otherwise). If you plan to frame your image traditionally behind glass, you should order your image without the 3 inch border or simply cut off the extra 3 inches on each side and mount flat under matting and glass.

Can I purchase an image already 'Gallery Wrapped' and ready to hang?
Yes! If you concerned that you might not be able to find a competent stretch framer near you, we make shipping a finished archival museum quality piece easy. We create a custom crates and ship via USPS Priority Mail*  For large, special orders we can coordinate with freight forwarders. 

How much does it cost to send a 'Gallery Wrapped', ready to hang piece?
We custom crate and handle your piece for the approximate cost of shipping. Pieces that remain under 108 inches(length + girth) cost from $30 to $65 to ship depending on size of finished piece and your location. USPS Priority Mail requires the crate to remain under 108 inches (length + girth) to avoid freight  for a flat fee of $108. Nothing over 130 inches (length + girth) is accepted by the US Post Office. Large pieces will require a Freight Forwarder, custom quotes can be arranged.
